Volunteer Registration

Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer for the Crystal Meth Society. We are currently looking for volunteers in the Greater Victoria area.

Before applying, we do ask that you read through and agree to abide by our standards of conduct for volunteers.

Standard of Conduct for Volunteers

Responsibilities of Volunteers:

  1. Commitment - Volunteers shall have a commitment to serve their community and the Society's mission to the best of their abilities, assuring the integrity of the goals.
  2. Confidentiality - Volunteers shall respect the confidentiality of information received through their work with Crystal Meth Society (the "Society"). If necessary, clarification should be sought from appropriate board or Executive members. Confidential information must not be used for personal gains.
  3. Quality of Service - Volunteers shall provide service in a manner that is courteous and professional, while respecting the dignity of people receiving services.
  4. Behaviour - Volunteers shall:
    • conduct themselves in a manner that meets acceptable social standards and contribute to an environment of mutual respect and dignity, free from discrimination or harassment;
    • follow operational guidelines and established reporting structures;
    • exercise discretion with comments made in public about people or other organizations involved.
  5. Media Statement - Volunteers shall direct all enquiries from the media to the designated media contact.

Rights of Volunteers:

  1. Orientation and Training - Volunteers shall have access to the appropriate training to ensure efficient and effective performance of duties.
  2. Forum for Input - Volunteers shall be made aware of and have access to the Society's Board for handling suggestions and complaints.
  3. Supplies and Equipment - Wherever possible, volunteers shall be equipped to do their job.
